The future looks great says Mr. Clarke

This is…incredible.  So imagine. If they knew this all way back then…what do they know about our future now?

Nobody Cares About What You Copy at the Office

Nobody Cares

I thought this was interesting: If you happen to work at some place and have made copies of your personal stuff (even at libraries) then it has been stored.

Sneaky buggers.

You learn something new every day, don’t you? So now Nobody has been warned. Be careful what you copy.

Nobody’s Email: Advice From Snoopes…Are We embarrassed Yet Girls?

Nobody Gets Email

I am posting an email that I got from Tom Beebe, (Thanks Tom) in sections because I think it’s very informative….and because I know my few personal girlfriends (Pattie & Mona) will read this as I did, and remember………….

AaaaaaLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL  those emails they sent me where I was supposed to pass on the good feelings for luck, or to ten friends, and how HARD it was for me because I don’t  &$&*%  HAVE ten friends, and I always felt really bad typing in my only two (Pattie and Mona) and of course, knowing that I wasn’t going to get my “wish” because I was short of friends to email and bug, was just enough to ruin my morning.

Now, my shortage of friends, according to this, is a blessing. Dog fool

Well read this…and girls (I KNOW no man does this stuff ) think: How many people have we ‘cookied” in our computer lifetime?

Who knew? (Besides Dandapani)

Advice from snopes.com VERY IMPORTANT

1) Any time you see an email that says “forward this on to ’10′ (or however many) of your friends”, “sign this petition”, or “you’ll get bad luck” or “you’ll get good luck” or “you’ll see something funny on your screen after you send it” or whatever–it almost always has an email tracker program attached that tracks the cookies and emails of those folks you forward to. The host sender is getting a copy each time it gets forwarded and then is able to get lists of ‘active’ email addresses to use in SPAM emails or sell to other Spammers. Even when you get emails that demand you send the mail on If you’re not ashamed of God/Jesus…that is email tracking, and they are playing on our conscience. These people don’t care how they get your email addresses…just as long as they get them. Also, emails that talk about a missing child or a child with an incurable disease “How would you feel if that was your child”…email tracking. Ignore them don’t participate!

The Future of the Digital Age According to Jaron Lanier

 Nobody’s Opinion

Okay…so Joran doesn’t exactly have the slick look of the other internet guru’s. When Tom Beebe (Thanks Tom) sent me an article about this guy last week, I must admit, besides being upset about the “cashless’ society that the internet is taking us, I had not thought much about the other side— but I am now.

So Nobody Asks: Is there a  downside to the internet?

Men love to invent…and thank God. For the short time they have been here, they went from clubbing each other with clubs, to threatening each other with the atomic bomb proving that many inventions have a double edge sword. One’s man’s ceiling is another man’s floor, and even Paul Simon would admit that he’d rather be a hammer than a nail.atomic bomb

While the sheer genius of the atomic bomb can be marveled at…the world is now in continuous fear of the next ‘nuclear’ attack, and some of us wish that it had never been invented..and did they REALLY think the future consequences of it through?

Obviously not.

And so it is with the new digital technology–like the atomic bomb it is having a downside effect. With all the wonderment that has come with the ease of home computers, there is a man who is pointing out, that it could be the destruction of us all.

And that’s where Jaron Lanier comes in. Jaron was a Silicon Valley digital rock star. He was a pioneer and publicizer of virtual-reality technology (computer-simulated experience. ) and knew all the big guys; Jobs, Gates, Zuckerberg, —-Google, Facebook, etc…and he is so upset about what he has created, he is going around the world and warning the rich guys…of what he calls, “digital Maoism.”

Jaron Lanier, calls this “digital Maoism” indicting “internet intellectuals” like Facebook and Google of being “spy agencies.” He wants to subvert the “hive mind,” as the web world’s been called, before it engulfs us all, destroys political discourse, economic stability, the dignity of personhood and leads to “social catastrophe.”  Instead of an ever-upward enlightenment, it is just as likely, he argues, that the crowds will devolve into an online lynch mob.google is watching

And who could deny this? Remember how excited Obama was about the Arab Spring? Remember how it was declared that the whole thing came about because of FACEBOOK? Without FACEBOOK the riots would not have evolved.  But what came of that? While Zuckerberg was taking victory laps with Obama’s plans to get rid of Mubarak, a huge vacuum was created and the Muslim brotherhood jumped into that hole, and took the reigns of power, leaving the ‘useful idiots” staring at their cell phones and wondering what the hell  happened.Arab spring

And Jason sees this as not a good thing. It’s Mob rule…which is what democracy is, and our founders hated it. He explains it as:

“An enabling and foreshadowing of mob rule, not a growth of democracy, but an accretion of tribalism. But it slowly is turning us into a nation of hate-filled trolls. We have economic fear combined with everybody joined together on these instant twitchy social networks which are designed to create mass action. What does it sound like to you? It sounds to me like the prequel to potential social catastrophe.”

And then there’s the economic side, which is much more damaging. Here’s more:

“I’d had a career as a professional musician and what I started to see is that once we made information free, it wasn’t that we consigned all the big stars to the bread lines. They still had mega tour profits. Instead, it was the middle-class people who were consigned to the bread lines. And that was a very large body of people. And all of a sudden there was this weekly ritual, sometimes even daily: ‘Oh, we need to organize a benefit because so and so who’d been a manager of this big studio that closed its doors has cancer and doesn’t have insurance. We need to raise money so he can have his operation.’

And I realized this was a hopeless, stupid design of society and that it was our fault. It really hit on a personal level—this isn’t working. And I think you can draw an analogy to what happened with communism, where at some point you just have to say there’s too much wrong with these experiments. So by taking value off the books, you’re actually shrinking the economy.” whoever has the biggest computer can analyze everyone else to their advantage and concentrate wealth and power. [Meanwhile], it’s shrinking the overall economy. I think it’s the mistake of our age.”middle class

Since Jason is a musician also, he sees the damage here. Gates, Jobs, Zuckerberg, they just don’t get it because the ONLY job they ever had was creating the internet. But when you’re a musician you dream of the hit record, and with free downloads…the monetary rewards of original music went out with the proverbial free downloads onto your hard drive.

And not just musicians…the whole print industry has been changed: thousands of newspapers and magazines have shut down.  Think of how many journalists have lost their jobs. And SO much misinformation is put on the internet, it’s hard to tell what’s true and what isn’t.

Many of our schools are getting rid of books, and giving the kids IPADS. They have stopped teaching cursive writing…texting will become so big in the future, that future generations will not even know how to make a complete sentence. Already in China, the kids are forgetting how to read, because all they do is text. Not to mention the waste of time everyone spends on their computers.

AND…when everything is online: books, money—- all that you do and say will go to the few people who run the world and who will have the power to completely control every single thing. Jaron is right. Jason even goes so far as to blame the housing crash on the internet:

“The rise of networking has coincided with the loss of the middle class, instead of an expansion in general wealth, which is what should happen. But if you say we’re creating the information economy, except that we’re making information free, then what we’re saying is we’re destroying the economy.”Ipad and monkey

To my mind a over leveraged unsecured mortgage is exactly the same thing as a pirated music file. It’s somebody’s value that’s been copied many times to give benefit to some distant party. In the case of the music files, it’s to the benefit of an advertising spy like Google [which monetizes your search history], and in the case of the mortgage, it’s to the benefit of a fund manager somewhere. But in both cases all the risk and the cost is radiated out toward ordinary people and the middle classes—and even worse, the overall economy has shrunk in order to make a few people more.”

We read of online bullying leading to teen suicides in the United States and, in China, there are reports of well-organized online virtual lynch mobs forming…digital Maoism.”

You know, too many of us know someone who has been grieviously hurt by the internet. I know a man whose girlfriend got mad at him, and went online to FACEBOOK and told all kinds of horror stories to their whole network of friends, and it even got back to his work. They were lies, and somehow he forgave her, and they made up, but the damage had been done. This is happening to millions daily. There is no recourse in court….in fact the law can’t keep up with it.facebnook

And if you think that the powerful people will think twice about hurting society, remember the story of Zuckerberg. When he first invented FACEBOOK as a student, he put up a very demoralizing contest and rated all the women on his campus as “ugly” or “cute” and everyone on campus got to have fun putting down women. Typical liberal. He was old enough to have a moral compass, but he had none.

It was…disgusting….and yet, Zuckerberg was forgiven for such an insidious prank because he was a genius. The question is, when these young, rich, and sometimes very immature boys work with Presidents, you DO have a Maoism. Zuckerberg has moved to China to avoid taxes.

No doubt Zuckerberg thinks he is saving the world, he’s not like Jaron who sees beyond himself. You COULD say that the internet is a young technology..it will work out the bugs in time.

I’m sure they thought the same thing about nuclear warfare. But unlike the atomic bomb…so far, we’ve been kept pretty safe from it..it doesn’t affect our daily lives. But the internet is working it’s magic every single day. Hopefully…Jaron will make the rich elites think: After all…he’s right…we are NOT gadgets….but like the ‘ape’: We sure do love them. Nobody’s Email: Google 2012 Christmas Message

Nobody Gets Email

I got this video from my liberal friend, who I met at my local library about five years ago. We both were taking a class in EXCEL, and became fast friends because, when it came to computers, we both we in wonderment…like little kids.

We STILL hold that same childlike attitude about many things. Anyway, when he sent me this video he said, “How do they think up these things?”

That’s my bud. JR is in his 70′s, and yet, still holds his love of learning, and that’s one of the reasons we get along. While our politics are completely opposite, neither one of us has ever gotten mad at our opinions.

Hatred, gets you…nowhere.

(Thanks to J.R.)

Nobody’s Fool: William Binney

Nobody’s Fool

Every American should take 12 minutes out of their day and watch this video. William Binney is a true hero in my Nobodys’ Opinion…he is trying to warn the public that every single email they send is being filed away illegally, so that our government can have the ammunition to call you on some crime they think you have committed. While you might think that since you are a law-abiding citizen, and have no need to worry, let me remind you, IF you have said anything against our government, or voiced strong patriotism for America, you are a terrorist according to the Obama Administration.

They are especially fearful of veterans, who they fear might just side with citizens one day and kick them all out.

William Binney is trying to take this unlawful and disgusting practice to the Supreme Court, and by law, they should shut it down. BUT, as we saw with Obamacare which was unconstitutional, that doesn’t mean they will. The Supreme Court now works for the elites agenda, not the people OR the Constitution.

And to all you dweebs at the NSA who are reading this…May Obama someday do unto your children, as you have done unto us.”

In fact, that’s the ONLY good news coming out of all this.

Remember in your emails to give em all hell.

Nancy Pelosi Forgets…Her BIG Gavel.

Nobody’s Perfect

Remember, in my last post I was talking about the people who just NEVER seem to go away? Well…Nancy Pelosi makes another great “gaff” in the history of stupid poltical statements.

Really, she’s has GOT to stop spending weekends with Joe.

Someone suggested that humans are just too ignorant to control anything…in the end, it’s who you know I guess, and if you know the right person, then you get the job. So, Nobody Asks: Was it just a random fluke that Nancy Pelosi is STILL in the Congress and is now surrounding herself with a bunch of …dimwitted ninny’s to run the country? Were these women voted in?

Did a nation of ninny’s vote in a rather clueless woman leader in Australia?

What’s with all these women? The worst of this video was cut out. Everyone is laughing at the fact that Nancy, in her own mind, STILL believes that she is the leader of the house, and after the REAL leader of the house making the comment that the tea party is dead, ( GOP John Beohner) I think she is right. But..then watch…Nancy giggles like a little girl…and comes out of it with the ‘unity’ nonsense.

It’s what she said BEFORE that little giggle that was annoying.

  • Pelosi touted the diversity of the new caucus, which grew to nearly 200 Democrats after last Tuesday’s election, boasting that it was the first caucus “in the history of civilized government to have a majority of women and minorities.” The party caucus in 2013, she said, would have 61 women, 26 Hispanics, 11 Asians, and five gay, one bisexual and 43 black members.
  • “With these new members, the tea party starts to roll back and problem-solving starts to move forward,” Israel said. “And that’s what this election was all about.”

Nobody Thinks that this ‘majority of women and minorities” is a direct hint at the ‘diversity’ bar that you…dirty, corrupt, white, and conservative man and woman, have to take heed to. Be forewarned: You may be the majority in numbers…but you are not represented anymore. They…don’t…like you.

Like the REAL gavel holder John Boehner, Nancy thinks the tea party is …gone. Somewhere in the halls of one of her many estates is the gavel she carried up the steps of Congress in order to bully the “tea party” people into accepting Obamacare.

The tea party is just another name for Americans who do not want the country to change into some kind of fascist dictatorship.

Nobody Wonders Why…Why are all these women ‘placed’ in power? And WHY is it again, that a bunch of people who come from so many different languages and cultures and can now rule a country, is a good thing?

I have my own Nobody Opinion, but I’d like to hear yours.

Nobody’s Fool: Steve Jobs

Nobody’s Fool

Like most baby boomers I am fascinated by the life of Steve Jobs. I actually remember typing on a typewriter…and having to white out mistakes, and getting ink on my hands from the carbon papers. The advancement of computers in our lifetime, while not as life changing as the car and the electric light in my grandmother’s lifetime, has certainly opened up new worlds for everyone. So the masters, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, have always been hero’s to my generation.

The new hit biography about Steve Jobs, by Walter Isaacson, left no punches. In most cases he was a spoiled, absolute brat, with no social grace whatsoever. Still genius is forgiven when it comes to changing the world, and while the book makes you feel sorry for his family, and anyone who worked with him, they all said, without Steve, none of that fun stuff like the Mac, the I-Pod, the I-Phone, the I-Tunes…none of it would have existed.

He was arrogant, egotistical, mean, but right most of the time. In other words, he believed in himself and for that, he had his dad and mom to thank. Not the real ones, but the ones who adopted him.

While American’ s worship Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs, neither one of these men made the really cool computers we use today. What they did do was find the right engineers, and push the right ideas until they came into being. The real credit behind computers,  men like Steve Wozniak, Jobs’ early partner, fade into the background. But— it’s one thing to have the vision, it’s quite another to make the visions happen and that’s where Gates and Jobs are attached at the hip.

The difference is that Gates licensed his software out to everyone, and Jobs kept all is ideas in the family of Apple. Two different business models. Two different men. Jobs was an artist. Gates, more the businessman.

Steve was a Bob Dylan fan. He was a Beatles fan. He was the hippie of the sixties who dropped acid, and went into a veggie diet that deprived him of the protein he needed in the end of his life when he was fighting cancer. I knew so many of these people growing up…the wild and crazy “peace, and free love” kids, who were, yes..children. When they got out into the real world..most all of them grew up and became conservatives.

But what happened to the baby boomers who didn’t grow up? The ones who stayed in that hippie stage forever? Like, Hillary Clinton?

The answer: They had rich parents to begin with. Hillary and Steve Jobs had upper middle class parents. So did Bill Gates. They never left the “free and open” leftist propaganda of the sixties, or even questioned it.  They were ‘sensitive’ and were out to change the world. And they had the connections to do it.

You can read the biography about all the clever things Steve Jobs did to make his visions come to life, it’s a good book …but I’m going to talk about something else that bothers me: Why do so many of these people…ones who make money the good old capitalistic way, feel so connected to Karl Marx?

The two biggest capitalists of our generations…were die hard liberals. Both Gates and Jobs were Democrats. Al Gore was on the board of Apple. Bill Clinton was a good friend. While Steve Jobs told Obama that he needed to get the government regulations off businesses back, he still wanted to help Obama get reelected by making a great commercial for his reelection campaign.

Here’s a funny story from his book: Steve Jobs had the CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, on his board of Directors at Apple, probably due to Al Gore’s insistence because Al Gore is on the board of Google and Apple.  Google literally stole the I Pad idea and came out with the Android. Steve was so mad at getting ribbed off by his own board member he said:

“Google, you fucking ripped off the iPhone, wholesale ripped us off. Grand Theft. I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple’s $40 billion in the bank to right this wrong. I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product. I’m willing to go to thermonuclear war on this. Outside of Search, Google’s products. Android, Google Docs, are shit. “

Did Al Gore have anything to do with this theft? Al Gore is on Google’s board too, and Al Gore and Google would think nothing of “redistributing” Steve Jobs hard earned ideas to the world for free, if they both could get rich off of it themselves.

That’s the liberals for you. Rape, rob, and redistribute. You won’t find a bad word about Al Gore in this book, and I find that funny in itself.
***
Another thing I admire about the Steve Jobs was that he kept porn off the IPhone, and got a lot of slack about that from his liberal friends. Good for him.
***

There’s something about Bill Gates that creeps me out. He puts on that “face” of innocent and it’s no doubt that you would be “gotten.” Steve Jobs at least was honest. If he didn’t like something, he told you. At least you knew.

I’ve never owned an Apple, but, there is no doubt, I would love it. Steve Job was an artist first, and then he became the best CEO in the world. Everyone wants the Apple now. Steve Jobs made sure that the brand meant quality, and that used to be the American way. Steve Jobs wanted the very best, and demanded it.  We are all the richer for it.

And now, I go back to my HP Windows7 computer because I can’t afford a Mac. Thank goodness there is still room in the world for both.

Read the book, it’s an amazing story.

Drones…Here to (cough) Protect You.

Nobody Reports:

Drones. Our politicians are drone crazy. Did you know that the U.S has over 7,000 drones flying more hours than manned attack planes, and more pilots are being trained to operate them than manned aircraft?

Think of what this is going to do to the commercial airline industry in the future. Most of the commercial pilots come right out of the Air Force.  What is going to happen when there is a shortage of pilots due to the fact that our military is training them to fly drones?

Better go to Paris now.

I saw my first drone at a tea party gathering around 2009. To say I was shocked that a few thousand  people needed to be watched by a drone, is an understatement. It’s not a good feeling…I actually thought about giving it the finger as it passed over my head, but had second thoughts: What if my picture is taken giving the drone the finger? Did I really want to be on Obama’s hit list?

Everyone at that tea party was insulted that we even needed to be spied upon. My goodness…we had TEA bags. Very lethal. Lots of veterans had looks of…well, I won’t say.

But spied on we will be.  Somehow between worrying about the damage being done to the country from those dangerous baseball pitchers taking steriods, Congress found time to passed legislation giving the go ahead for drones to monitor the skies over the US and spy on its citizens. More than 50 companies are already developing more than 150 drone system. (see map)

50? Really? Best Buy’s are closing down all over the country, but drone companies are doing great business? What’s wrong with this picture?  Tell me…why do we need them here in the States? Don’t we have helicopters? And are there going to be that many people needing drones? Didn’t Obama say the “war on terror” was over?

I mean, come on. What can a drone do that’s so almighty important besides kill you?

It takes a crew of 180 people to pilot one military drones— operate its sensors, analyze the data it collects and lots of people to handle maintenance, and while not as expensive as a jet fighter, the latest Reapers cost $8 million each and can be shot down easier…which is why Iran is really proud to have gotten one  from Obama for free.

The CIA is now flying drones, and so far they have killed over 2,000 people identified as terrorists. And it seems, hundreds of people and organizations are going to get to fly them all over the place—It’s just the latest cool toy that you always wanted as a kid. And everyone is excited!

For example, the COA list does not include any information on which model of drone or how many drones each entity flies. In a meeting with the FAA [Thursday], the agency confirmed that there were about 300 active COAs and that the agency has issued about 700-750 authorizations since the program began in 2006. As there are only about 60 entities on the COA list, this means that many of the entities, if not all of them, have multiple COAs (for example, an FAA representative [Thursday] said that University of Colorado may have had as many as 100 different COAs over the last six years). The list also does not explain why certain COA applications were “disapproved” and when other authorizations expired. Most of the active drones are deployed from military installations, enforcement agencies and border patrol teams, according to the Federal Aviation Authority.
***
(Wait..isn’t the Colorado University near the secret underground bunker? What are they going to do..kill the little nobody who will be running for the bunker doors?)
Astonishingly, 19 universities and colleges are also registered as owners of what are officially known as unmanned aerial vehicles. Many of the of institutions, which include Cornell, the University of Colorado, Georgia Tech, and Eastern Gateway Community College, are developing drone technology.

Colleges need drones? What are they going to do? Follow you home if you steal one of their $100-dollar text books?

The nation is bankrupt and Congress is buying drones, which are going to be used to track every single person, car, house, river, stray dog, and illegal backyard tomato patch in the nation. They figure when they tell grandma and grandpa that their Social Security is run out, they are NOT going to get attacked by maniacal seniors out running around with their kitchen knives looking for someone to puncture.

Nope, they are going to stay in the sky…seek, and destroy.

Really. You tell me why we need a gazillion drones in the sky? What are they expecting? A massive invasion? Is THAT why General Petraus was taken from Afganistan and put in charge of the CIA over here?

All of a sudden, the elections look lame. I don’t know about you, but I plan to take a REAL pilot out to lunch..you never know when you might need one.

Steve Jobs: Bleeding in Six Colors for Us

Nobody Flashes

After hearing about Steve Jobs death tonight, I was watching this video and couldn’t help but think of Thomas Edison. Thomas invented the motion picture camera so that school children could learn from watching movies. He thought the books were too boring. Learning was the goal. Help kids to learn.

Steve had the same goals…to improve learning, and whatever else happens in between is a bonus.

Like every other genius that ever walked the planet, the seeds that Steve Jobs sowed in his lifetime will flourish just like Edison’s. Other geniuses will build on the technology that he developed. Someday, some one will be holding a fifth generation of IPOD”s, and thinking the same thing as I am right now about Steve Jobs.

If you can’t listen to this all, listen to the first few minutes, where he talks about his employees. They told him they didn’t leave the company because, “I bleed in six colors.”

Steve said that was code for the loyalty to Apple.

So…someone running for President should take an example from the man and say, “I bleed in three colors …red, white, and blue.” We should remember that America is and always has been a great country.  Our ancestors have spilled their blood on every shore …for freedom. For America.

I loved that comment. Steve was proud of what he had achieved. He was loyal to Apple, which became the biggest company in the world before he die.

We should take a lesson from Steve…we need to go back to our history, back to being proud. Look at the inventions we have given the world!  Look what Steve Jobs gave the world. Thomas lit up the world, and Steve stood on his shoulders.

Nobody can believe he was only 56, but fortunately, we can all pull him up on our computers (Macs or not) and learn from him anytime.

Steve…may your soul rest in peace…and bleed no more. It’s somebody else turn now. Right?

Right.
